The final project meeting of EmpowerWOMENt project was held on 18th and 19th of June in Ankara (Turkey) hosted by the project coordinator Ankara ASPİM. Project personnel and women entrepreneurs from the partner countries (Turkey, Romania, Austria, Italy, Portugal and France) met and made presentations that are mainly focused on all outputs of the project, multiplier events and the final report of the project.
On the first day of the meeting, the draft versions of output documents were analyzed and explained one by one. Participants expressed their views about the outputs, made some recommendations and they made brainstorming about the dissemination of the project outputs in each partner country. The outputs that were presented was as follows; IO1 EmpowerWOMENt Open Virtual Platform which includes the segments ‘’home, about us, our partners, outputs, meeting&activity, start-up women’s center and women’s voice’’; IO2 SharingwithU guidance and Support Service which aims to maintain sustainability of the incentives and networking among start-up women; IO3 Powering My New Business – Guidelines for start-up Women and Their Communities which aims to help start-up women to be successful in their businesses and meet their needs about practical entrepreneurial information; IO4 Women’s voices- Video Interviews with Start-up Women which includes experiences, ideas and business development of start-up women in the project, recorded at the workshop in Rome; IO5 Policy Recommendations Paper- Empowering Women’s Initiatives which contains lessons learned for the project and recommendations for policy and funding support. All partners expressed their views about these draft documents and some deadlines are defined for the further correction and contribution from the partners.
On the second day of the meeting, the subject of national seminars rules and discussion was presented and project personnel discusses this issue in detail focusing on how the prepare for national seminars, which stakeholders to invite, how to present the outputs, how to promote the project and so on. The second subject of the meeting was the template of final report and rules and discussion. Project personnel discussed this subject in order to be able to work on a mutual template and to prepare this report with the contribution of all partners without any problems. While project personnel was discussing these subjects that are related to the project management, project’s video expert record brief interview videos with start-up women. In these videos start-up women introduced themselves and their businesses, talked about the impact of the project on them, expressed their opinions about the project in general end they finish their videos by sending a message to all women entrepreneurs.
These two days of meeting went really beneficial for developing the final version of outputs, creating the final report and defining the strategies for dissemination of the project through national seminars. On the other hand both start-up women and project personnel had the chance of observing the impact of the project on start-up women both through the output materials and face-to-face interaction with each other. They all expressed that this is not ending on the contrary the results of this project are the steps for new projects and ecosystems for start-up women!
