Hello, my name is Özge Yurdaer Bülbül. I was born in Ankara in 1987. I am married and I have two daughters. I entered Department of Mathematics in 2005 to be able to work at my dream job. I graduated in 2009. Starting from high school, I worked in different sectors and gained a lot of experience. I did voluntary teaching and polling and even worked in marketing and sales, which in turn I became experienced in customer relations. Starting from the second year of the university, I gave private mathematic courses. My motto was 'students who don't love their teachers can't love mathematics' so I tried to achieve success by making my students to love and respect me and thus become successful in mathematics. After graduating from university, I started to get ready for civil servant exam and at the same time, I taught mathematics in different education institutes. I also had a group of 30 students for private courses. Due to the scandals in 2010 about the teaching post assignments, I felt a great injustice done to me so I started to think about establishing my own business. During the weekends, my house was busy students just like private courses so this encouraged me a lot about opening up my own private course. Yet, I delayed my plans for 5 years and worked at private sector. However, due to the workload and long working hours, I started to think work was becoming a hurdle for me to perform my best. In 2014, with great help of my dear husband, we decided to apply my business plan. I want to establish a complex private institution which will deliver both elementary and primary education. Yet, this is a big project so I started with a nursery in order to establish a name and customer base. We only had 100,000 Turkish Liras as capital; yet, we managed to get a loan and invested 1,5 million Turkish Liras. I established Very Important Kids Nursery with the slogan of "happy school, happy kids". As part of my institutional goals, I applied for my own brand and registered it on my account. During the establishment stage, I observed and listened to expectations of our parents and needs of our students and tried to accommodate those with our policies and organizational functions. I think the most important need of today's children is nature. We live in big buildings and there is hardly any nature around. It is all concrete and steel. Moreover, since our students were spending lots of time outside the school, their other very important need was love. We tried to establish an atmosphere that accompanies those needs. In our 3. year, our quota for students started to be filled way before the normal registry period and we became a popular in demand nursery. Since the quotas were filling way before the normal semester, we had to say no to a lot of customers. Yet, this was making both our potential customers and us equally. Thus, we made a decision and took initiative to open up a branch. I opened up another branch and things are going very well for now. My next aim is to create a campus area where children will engage all sorts of outdoor activities. I want them to be fully engage in art activities as well so we want to start with music and teach our students how to play instruments. We also want them to be physically active in sports and dancing. I want my children and students to be socially capable and productive individuals with lots of different abilities.

Hello, I am Şule Ceylan. I am 48 years old. I am married and have two children. I was graduated from business administration and I am currently studying sociology. I really like cooking and spending time in the kitchen. I am always looking for new recipes and most of the time people like different things that I cook. However, people like the traditional food I cook such as 'un tahanası' and 'Kayseri mantısı' (dumplings) the most. Since people were always praising the food I made, I decided to sell them. I started to sell them at the shop my husband works. When people liked it, I started to make more and sell more. Also, people around me like my neighbours, friends and relatives started to order my products. Feedbacks were all positive and really encouraging. By thinking life is not only about savoury food, I decided to bake cakes and make desserts. I really like to make cakes and desserts for my children. Seeing them happy makes me happy. In order to learn how to do it professionally and to increase the variety of my products, I went to pastry training and also required a certificate for it. I have been thinking about starting my business for a very long time and talking to my family and friends about it. Yet, I never had the courage or capital to do it. My husband tried several businesses but unfortunately many of them ended up in ruins. That's why, I am really scared that I won't be able to make my business survive. I hesitantly started government courses for entrepreneur women and came into contact with Gazi University's Women Studies Centre. Through the seminars and workshop, I managed to establish my business idea quite firmly and applied government support to open up my business. I am still working from home and trying to completely open up my business outside my house.

Hello, I am Eylem Bilge Yazıcıoğlu Çıplak. I am married and I have a son. I graduated from Civil Engineering at Middle East Technical University in 2003. After graduation, I started to work in the field of structural project. I prepared ferro-concrete, steel construction and bridge projects. Since the company I worked for was delivering a multifaceted projects, I had the opportunity to gain experience in many different fields. My co-engineers were experts in their fields and I learnt a lot from their engineering perspectives and solutions. Engineering is a bit like craftsmanship in the sense that for the beginning years of your career, transfer of experience and getting direction from seniors and broadening your horizon are especially important. I find myself lucky in that way. I worked in the same company as a chief of design for ten years. Working long in one company has its disadvantages but those disadvantages turned into advantages for me. The company started to grow and expand after I was employed. Thanks to that, I started to work in many different projects and contributed all the projects and learnt more than I could by changing companies. I think I made valuable contributions to the company's growth and improvement in engineering services. Meanwhile, I completed my master's in earthquake engineering. In 2014, I gave birth to my son and quit my job. I turned my house into a home office and started to make projects from home. At the beginning, I was getting less jobs but in 1 or 2 years time, projects started to pile and working from home was not meeting the requirements so together with a friend, we rented an office. I started to run my projects in a more professional manner and I officially founded my company in 2017. Within this time, my husband supported me financially and my family took care of my son so I could concentrate on work. I owe them a big thanks.

Hello, I am Saba Buse Atasoy. I am a 27 years old, single and young women entrepreneur. I live in Ankara/Turkey. I graduated from Economics. I always dreamed about designing and making wedding gowns. Because of that I have never thought about my own field after graduation. Before starting my own company, I worked as a PR in one of the fashion magazines. After that, I worked for well-renounced wedding gown designers in Ankara. During this time, I had many disappointments because no one wanted to teach something or create space for young people who wanted to learn more and improve themselves within the sectors. There was harsh competition between co-workers and the level of education was varied immensely. After working sometime, my confidence levels got higher and I started to think about founding my own fashion house. Hence, in 2016 I opened my own fashion house and difficulties started to arise. Difficulties with cash, difficulties with customers: Everything happened at once and altogether. As every entrepreneur, I faced many difficulties and I am still facing them. Yet, in order to overcome these difficulties, I am taking support and training from KOSGEB (Small and Medium Sized Industry Development Centre).
